In the works is a comprehensive cookbook that celebrates the food, the people, and the mission of the Farmers Market in Ithaca, New York. Readers will be able re-create many of the stand-in-line offerings from the Market. In addition, talented local chefs will contribute original and creative recipes inspired by the seasonal bounty available at the Market. Vivid photographs by Robyn Wishna will bring the Market to life, capturing its personalities, eccentricities, and enduring popularity.

About the Author
For nearly three decades Michael Turback’s restaurant was on a mission to combine inventiveness, passionate cooking with local ingredients, and the novel concept of a wine list with exclusively local wines. Wine Enthusiast Magazine named Turback's of Ithaca “one of the wine-friendliest restaurants in America” and the restaurant earned the “Best American Wine List” award by Restaurant Business Magazine. As an author, his intellectually rich reflections add surprising, entertaining dimensions to the culinary landscape. Among his works, Greetings from the Finger Lakes: A Food and Wine Lover’s Companion celebrates the region’s achievements in winemaking, artisan farming, and culinary invention.
